The best part of your spinning is how flowing, smooth, and controlled it is. Great plane control, I mean you control those planes like an ace pilot, especially the behind the back poi moves. It's impressive when someone does difficult move yet makes it look so easy and stylish. As to the person who criticized the music, I thought the music fit exactly perfectly with the style, the lighting, and the performance. Keep it up, you've definitely got talent. And it's hella fun isn't it?

as above excelent spinning but the video is to dark there are alot cool moves in there that will be missed by the untrained eye because its so hard to make out anything but the flames. my recomendation is always film at sunset thats the perfect lighting conditions for fire the fire looks good you can see the person spinning clearly and you get a sweet sunset in the background

Good stuff... My only complaint was not with the spinning (because you obviously have mad skills), it was that the video was a little monotonous... It could have been broken up a little bit with maybe another angle or something... Almost eleven minutes of basically the same angle was a little much... Other than that (miniscule) gripe, I enjoyed the video quite a bit...

i use a cathedral wick which is kavlar and i can spin the poi pretty fast without the wick going out. I've also used the monkey fist with no problems as well. It might be the fuel if ur wicks are going out. I use coleman camp fuel which u can find at walmart

You spin the staffs ...

You spin the staffs along their length instead of around their center. The centrifugal force directs the fuel in the wick out, causing a big burn all at once. Its a good way to get rid of extra fuel that might otherwise send big flaming drops everywhere. It also shortens the length of the burn.

magicosanonimos, i'd say it's likened to a set of meteor but with multiple fire heads. However it doesn't appear to be used like a meteor but as a 2-section staff. Very interesting concept and kudos for innovation! Your videos relating to this performance are wonderful. Keep up the good work!

A reply to all the people concerns with safeties. We had them, but the camera man had this crazy idea of omitting them from the shot. Jeez-whizz! What a crazy idea! To focus on the performers and not at the support staff! Maybe next time, for the comfort of the safety conscious, we should take a shot of the safety and medics on standby every 5 secs or so! I mean since out of the 170 burners there, over 30% have had stage experience, who would have thought about safety?
