Thanks very much! Maybe you can make your own LED poi if shipping is too expensive? Before I bought the flowtoys, I made my own and they turned out pretty nice. The song is by a group named "Delerium," and the track is "Truly" from their "Best of" album. You can get it on Amazon. It's a GREAT poi album.

Thanks! It was filmed on the first floor of an apt building. I liked the back-lighting but people walking around is bothersome. If you watch my Spin3 you'll see that I've covered up the hallway somewhat. Good luck, and have fun with your flowpoi. I love mine!

Keep spinning and you'll get better fast! I've only been spinning poi since December of 2006. Until you can afford some official flowtoys, you can make your own LED poi using a $2 LED "glow stick" from Wallgreen's (check their website). Just be sure to wrap it with bubble wrap... because the Wallgreen's "glow sticks" break really easily (buy extra). Also, they are not re-chargable and they aren't quite as bright as the flowtoys... bright enough to have fun, though. Be creative!

I don't think any of the schools carve teeth from soap. Some schools carve teeth from wax, but it is not as common as it was ten years ago. As said above, Pacific does not carve teeth from wax anymore, and has never carved teeth from soap.

Do a google search for "tooth carving manual" and you should find the templates. I had to enlarge mine in the computer so they were large enough to be used with soap. Good luck!

Thanks for the comments... I have carved a few teeth from wax, too. Life size wax carving is very difficult! Our school doesn't require wax carving any more, though. (My class was the last class to do the exercise). I made this video to show pre-dental students a visual before they tried it themselves at a "tooth carving" simulation.

i think it would be easier to carve big tooths than small one's. we can't trace the image on the wax because it has to be accurate and the fissures of the tooth has to be exact. every details of it. so you have to be very patient and imaginative.nice vid. :) thanks for the tips anyway. :)

i am a dent student.we use wax not soap but i think it would be better if our professor would let us use soap instead of wax. i hope we can carve big tooths.we use bolly gauge first to measure the size/dimensions of the tooth. the size is mostly 2mm+.--that small.

All things considered, I feel that the audience liked the performance, but there are a lot of things I would have changed... quite well done, yet my personal advice to you is to try to break up the 3-beat 5-beat weave scheme as you're spinning in complete darkness, so people can't see you move and it's all about patterns

I have to say Oggpoi are great. Squishy and bright but I do prefer Flowpoi (Got mine recently). They are so fun with all their light modes. I hope you can do some more spins soon as they are greatly entertaining to watch. What happened to the old spinning spot? That place makes the poi look great. I hope you can show us another spin soon.
